This is a unique opportunity to really hone your public speaking and presentation skills and completely banish any anxiety around public speaking. Over the course of the weekend you will explore a broad range of techniques from the world of theatre, business and psychology.
The sessions will cover the voice and body language to help you perform at your best, storytelling techniques, how to put together pitches and presentations that engage your audience and deliver results and how to manage your nerves effectively. Over the course of 4 days, there will be a range of group sessions where you will get a chance to work individually and as a team. Dasha will be providing individual feedback throughout and at the end of the weekend you will receive an individual programme on how to keep developing and growing your skills.

Dasha Dollar- Smirnova combines classical drama training, over fifteen years of experience in the advertising business and her knowledge of psychology and neuroscience to create her unique public speaking and communication workshops.
After training in one of London’s leading drama schools, Dasha worked as an actress, presenter and producer before moving into the world of advertising. She had a successful career in business development and client management, from being one of the founders of Hogarth WorldWide to working with some of the world’s leading brands like Apple, Mercedes Benz and Starbucks. But her love of theatre got the better of her and she went back to her roots, becoming a public speaking and communication trainer. She started Frog Talk in 2016 and started developing her own unique methodology and approach. This led her to start her Masters of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at King’s College.
Dasha works with a number of academies, including market leaders like General Assembly and Domestika, as well as directly with corporate clients.

THURSDAY, 15 JUNE
The bus will pick the participants at Lisbon airport at 18 pm. It is advisable to arrive at Lisbon airport before 17pm. If there is a travel delay you will phone us to wait for you.
Arriving at the hotel Vila Planície, Monsaraz. Around 2 hours from Lisbon.

FRIDAY, 16 JUNE
After breakfast at the hotel you walk 15 minutes to “Sofia In Monsaraz” with our welcoming escort. After the welcoming session we start at 10.30h with a yoga lesson, when we do a pause to do a coffee break. At 11.30h we have our first lesson with Dasha until 13h. After a lunch in the garden, served with local produce vegetables, we will have another lesson from 14.30h until 17.00h. It is time for a wine tasting, before we head to have dinner at a local restaurant, where we can meet each other and share the best experience of the day.
SATURDAY, 17 JUNE
The day starts at 9h with a walk in the nature to “Sofia In Monsaraz”, where we will start the workshop at 10.30h. After the 3rd class will gather around the lunch table in the garden. In the afternoon you can do several activities like jounaling, gardening lesson or a boat trip in the Lake (this activity is not included) or you can simple relax in the sun.
The dinner is free.
SUNDAY, 18 JUNE
At 10h you will learn how to cook a portuguese meal with a local chef, that you will taste after the 4 class. At 13.30h we will have our lunch in the garden and after the final 5th class, that will end at 17h, before a cocktail and the final dinner at the Monsaraz’s castle.
MONDAY, 19 JUNE
After breakfast at 10 am you will travel to Lisbon, with an estimated arrival time 12.30h.
Everything is organised to detail so that nothing will prevent you from enjoying all the peace and quiet of the Alentejo. All our rooms have air conditioning, full and private bathroom, shared or private balcony and outdoor access. The stay also includes parking and access to Wi-Fi.
This accommodation is a 15-minute walk from the workshop venue and passes by the menhir and the Alentejo plain, ideal for reflection before starting work.

Internacional roundtrip airfare, transport to the place, alcoholic drinks, boat trip, activities not included in the itinery, hotel incidentals including room service, materials list, expenses during free time, laundry service and hotel bar, food and beverages not included in the itinerary. COVID-19 test, if applicable.
We require all participantes to have a personal travel insurance that at minimum covers medical emergencies and cancellations. We do not provide travel insurance for the retreat and each participant is required to have their own individual travel insurance. The place, where the retreat happens, has an Insurance that covers accidents. Will not be responsible for refunding any lost trip funds if you have to miss your scheduled trip.
We cannot guarantee to accommodate vegan, gluten free or dairy/egg free, and some allergies. Please contact us in advance of registering if you have any dietary questions.
It will start when arriving at the hotel, Thursday and finish when you leave the hotel, by Monday. We are not responsible for any non-retreat activity that a participant decides to purchase outside of the retreat and such activity will not form part of the participant’s contract with us. The bus transport is insurance secure.
This retreat includes one walking tour, where the ground may be uneven and you may be on your feet for several of hours at a time and should be comfortable walking 1km.
You can bring your yoga mat, we will provide everything else.
You may cancel before the 30 February and receive a full refund minus 50€ fee. Your payments will be split in two, with an initial deposit to secure your place in the retreat.
After you have completed your registration you will be sent an Invoice to complete your deposit payment. Payment can be made by Banktransfer or PayPal in euros. Additional costs may apply where special accommodations are made available to participants.
In this event we will accept until 20 people. The event does not include spouses, partners or friends if they are not taking the workshop.
If we cannot gather the minumum participants of 15 until mid March the event will be cancel and the payments refund to the participants.
